Back on the topic of sexual harassment, 92 year old Angela Lansbury recently made a statement in an interview that “women must sometimes take blame for sexual harassment”.
She said – “We have to own up to the fact that women, since time immemorial, have gone out of their way to make themselves attractive,” the 92-year-old said. “And unfortunately it has backfired on us — and this is where we are today.”
She commented further that “We must sometimes take blame, women. I really do think that,” she added. “Although it’s awful to say we can’t make ourselves look as attractive as possible without being knocked down and raped.”
Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas made a similar statement addressing sexual abuse on Twitter suggesting women should dress modestly as to not “entice” the wrong crowd.
Twitter tried to drag and cancel Angela after this statement, but trust that her statements aint messing with her checks from reruns of Murder She Wrote. She’s darn near 100 years old…and so is her audience. They’ll most likely agree with her.
With regard to Gabby, Twitter was in the midst of gearing up to drag her, until she shared her story of being sexually abused by a former USA gymnastics team doctor and then…suddenly her comment had context.
