Watch the December 11th broadcast of Prime News
In Florida, a mayor has been arrested, accused of using handicap placards of dead people. Teresa “Darlene” Bradley was arrested on last Tuesday when Polk County, Florida Sheriff deputies were tipped off that the elected official was using handicapped parking spaces despite suffering from no ailments.
Sounds like someone what this lady out of office.
Bradley has no known physical or mental handicaps. She faces charges of criminal use of a deceased person’s identification, possession of a counterfeit decal and unlawful use of a handicapped placard. The identity theft and counterfeiting charges are both third degree felonies.
Deputies performed a search on Bradley’s home and found two other handicap placards both belonging to deceased people One of the placards belonged to someone who died in 2012, and another was issued to someone who died in 2015. One of the placards had expired in 2013, but was altered to read 2018. She has been mayor since 2013.
She has since been suspended until her case is resolved. Her attorneys are arguing this is politically motivated and charges should be no higher than a civil infraction or a misdemeanor. – @Trezanay
