Watch the October 19th broadcast of Prime News
Salt Lake City, Utah – 18 year old Tyerell P is sitting in jail facing murder charges and possibly a life sentence for convincing his 16 year old “friend” commit suicide. Yes, can you believe it, this boy’s name is TyeRell. Wait though, the victims name? JChandra. I can’t make this up.
Police said there is so much evidence showing his involvement in the planning of this suicide that it amounts to murder…and I agree. First, there is a receipt showing TyeRell purchased the rope JChandra used to hang herself. Second, TyeRell told police that he even tied the knot in the rope for her….that In his twisted game of coercion and manipulation assured her that he would kill himself too, with her.
The two drove to a canyon about 60 miles south of Salt Lake City, where they tied the rope to a tree and fashioned a makeshift platform of rocks and wood underneath the tree. JChandra stood on the platform with the rope around her neck while TyeRell recorded a cellphone video of her inhaling compressed air from a canister, giggling and stepping off the platform, officials have said. And, to make top off the list of things TyeRell did – he filmed it. He filmed the entire thing. Tyrell was seen several times in the video checking on his friend as she hung from a tree. At one point in the 10-minute video he says, “Thumbs up if you’re OK.”
Later, Tyerell even noted, “That’s when the brain stops getting oxygen.” He left her there with the video footage to later be found by turkey hunters. A friend told police that TyeRell has a fascination with death and told him that this was like getting away with murder. TyeRell has been jailed since his arrest and is charged with murder, which carries a maximum penalty of life in prison.
The case comes after a teenager in Massachusetts – Michelle Carter – was convicted this same year of involuntary manslaughter for encouraging her suicidal boyfriend to kill himself in dozens of text messages. He died by inhaling carbon monoxide in his pickup truck. Ya’ll know what kills me? That legally, there is argument on whether this amounts to murder.
