Thug Fatally Injures Toddler and Steals Mother’s Belongings to Pawn Them

This 31-year-old man – David Vickers – is accused of fatally beating his girlfriend’s 17-month-old son—then stealing her belongings (a car stereo and laptop) and pawning them off while she was at the hospital with the dying toddler.

After two days in the hospital, the toddler was declared brain-dead from “injuries … consistent with child abuse,” per a police statement. There was blunt trauma to his brain, bruises on his chest, six broken ribs, and asphyxia. During investigation the Police learned that this guy had allegedly physically abused the boy on several occasions before his death…..AND the momma still let this man babysit the boy and his 3 year old sister on the day he was fatally injured.

Wait, what? Has this momma been charged? Because the last person who should be babysitting your kid is someone who can’t keep their hands off of them. By the way, he was on drugs at the time….surprise, surprise.

Which makes me wonder if mom’s also a user because I just cannot understand for the life of me why this crazy son-of-a-gun was selected as caretaker of these children. This guy has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder and aggravated child abuse. And, I hope he is convicted cuz I’ve heard that child abusers aren’t treated well in prison.
